Wonderful shots

Love that view... see how nice downtown looks without trees and twigs in the way?? Can we cut or trim some of those trees or what?? Such a beautiful view of downtown for tourists driving into town.. its a shame that drivers don't really see get to see downtown from Sask Drive imo

Nice shots!
2 things stand out for me when I see shots like these.
The first is that Edmonton has very little in the way of nice bridges going into downtown. Whats with these utilitarian type bridges like 5 st and the Low level...takes away from some otherwise nice skyline shots IMO. It would be nice if Edmonton had an ascetically pleasing bridge into downtown.
The second is that Manu should be about 10 stories taller. :D

Perigrine Point, but not PoV.

It's even uglier in person. Quite the "Welcome to Downtown Edmonton" landmark. At least it can't be considered false advertising.

Edmontons DT does not reflect the shittiness of PP

I hear you...I would also like to see that proposed bridge linking dtown and Sask. Dr. actually add to a skyline shot. Although I am not sure if a duplicate of the Golden Gate would make up for the sheer ugliness of the existing bridges.

It would be nice to see a bridge built that is more like a suspensen bridge not a concreate slab.

Nice pics, kel! A little bigger would be nice, tho.

The angle your photos were taken from illustrates perfectly the gap in the skyline between Enbridge and CWB Place, which (crossing fingers) should be filled beautifully by the new Procura tower within about 3 years. Can't wait!

Looking at Peregrine, I can only imagine the rage building up inside the residents as they try to take in the view out of their postage-stamp windows.

And.... good to see Riverwind! Those towers are very rare pre-current-boom, good-looking high-rises!

Would somebody please put up a 20 storey building on 97 ave just south of Perigrime Pointe?

One of the best ideas I've heard in a long time! But I don't know if the current zoning would allow this or not.

^they should allow it just cause of how bad we need to hide that thing.

:previous: This pic reminds me what's the latest on the plans to redevelop/renovate the Rossdale Power Plant and surrounding environs?

^still working on studies and plans but id guess we see something in the next 2-3 yrs with a 2010 decom.

I really hope the structure is retained with some added "oh hell yes" and a little "good god thats hot".
