Hey fellow Canucks.....its that time of year again when we dust off our toys and get ready for summer. I'd love to see what my fellow skyscraperpage dudes and dudette are riding in these days. Here's a few pics of my new rocket I picked up last week.

Cool ride.

I drive a 2003 Chrysler Sebring. Surprisingly kicky fast on the acceleration, and jumpy too. Great handling and not too bad on gas either.

Oh, and pics will be coming soon.

Here's my baby! 2005 Acura RSX Type S. 210 Ponies under the hood and a red-line that starts at 8200 RPM's. 6 speed manual transmission and leather interior. I changed the factory radio and had an Alpine installed. Not to long ago i realized that I had a sub woofer in there somewhere...that was a nice discovery!hehehe!

The only difference with the picture is that mine is copper instead of red.

In addition, I regularly use an electronic moving platform system to help with the long-distance transfer of my biped movement system

nice car trueviking! How do you like the 9000 RPM Redline!? How does it handle? Is the acceleration any good? with 240 ponies, i would assume yes!

the handling is unbelievable....the suspension is so stiff that if i run over a penny, i can tell if it is heads or tails.

the off the line speed claims to be under 6 seconds to 100k, but i am not so sure about that....acceleration while moving is serious though.....i can slide around traffic with just a tap of the accelerator....the gear shift is amazingly fluid.

rpms are really high on the highway which is really my only complaint...it gets decent gas mileage though.....vtec is really cool when it kicks in at 6500 or so....it becomes a different car above that.

i bought new high end tires last summer....it made a huge difference.

i never get tired of the push button start.

^Yeah TV? Well, my Honda has more power...255hp to be exact...and it sits 8!

Okay, so I'm jealous, and my 06 Odyssey is nothing really to brag about...especially given I'm a car fanatic. The S2000 is a dream machine. I've had a Civic with the B16A, so I know about the awesome, high-revving Honda engines (in the hot RSX Type-S too!).

I sold my WRX to get it - which hurts the most. One day I'll get my sports car again.

98 Dodge neon, with an amazing 268,000km on it (not bad for 9 years)... mileage isn't bad, recently been averaging around 38MPG.

Looking at getting something different soon though, and selling the neon to my sister (it's starting to show its age and mileage, but still not bad for a first car). Not sure what yet, been thinking about a Smart Car though.

Fishbowls are great. :) But impractical. Our transit system is now 100% wheel chair accessible and soon to be 100% air conditioned. The last fishbowls were sold to some town in Washington I think, and the old Newflyers are going to somewhere in the NE US. When we start replacing the low floor Newflyers and Orions, we'll think of you guys first. :)

Personally, I would put Toronto ahead of Thunder Bay in priority for low floor accessible buses, we've been getting four new buses a year for a decade now. Not sure how we pull that off. :/

this isn't my car, but it basically looks the same.

It was a great car, and it was surprisingly fast. It packed a 3.4L DOHC (the first in a chevy V6) with a 5-speed manual. It was basically a sleeper car and could take down most V8's of the same generation. I always hated the fact that it was so expensive to maintain because the Engine was stuffed in the engine bay, and it broke down a lot.

Hmmm........... I wonder how much "compensation" is happening on this thread?

:haha:

most of these cars (including mine) aren't that "special", i don't believe they could compensate for anything if there was any compensanting happening. hehehe

^Yeah, no one has claimed a Ferrari yet. These are all pretty much everyday cars so far.

Josh - your Accord is looking brand new from that pic...must be in excellent shape? I miss the older (lightweight) Hondas...cars have been getting so heavy over the last decade.

BMW 3 series and Chev Tahoe

And I want to say to the S2000 owners that I used to own a Boxster S and it is a better car than those buzzy Honda's. :P

My dad has a boxster and my s2000 would be a bit quicker on the track...but yes an S would take it down...not by much, but having driven an S at racecity in calgary, it is a fine auto.

^At nearly $30k more...not worth it in my opinion. The S2000 has far more character.

I beat a few regular Boxsters in some stop-light "acceleration tests" with my WRX when it first came out...I loved the looks on their faces when they couldn't keep up ;-)

At nearly 30k more, maybe the solstice is a better buy than the S2000 in your opinion. :) And I would totally disagree with that last sentence, but either way, I was just having some fun, both cars are great, back on topic now...

True it is very unrefined and like a go kart on steroids, and that may seem fun for some, but the Boxster can still compete on the track:
