This is in today's DPD Notice for 600 3rd Ave:

http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/luib/Notice.aspx?id=5707

The proposal is for a mixed-use development including underground parking for 600 cars, connection to Metro tunnel, Plaza, 540,000 sq. ft. of office and 180 residential units.

Nice to see something happening here!

Sounds like a good start. Hope they go all the way to the 400' height limit.

Hmmmmm... if they build for 400' it could stand out in the skyline

They'd have to to fit all that square footage. It's an exact fit.

This is the Norman Foster, public plaza site, correct? Hopefully they do go as high as is permitted.

^ Yes. It's the last part of the Civic Center redevelopment. Amazing that it was only a few years ago we had the fugly Muni Building and the fuglier Public Safety Building in this area.

Excellent - really looking forward to seeing some more comprehensive renderings of this plaza, and particularly the building. Does anyone recall what the likely timeframe was for them to start/complete?
