Hochblauen is a 1165 metres high maintain at Southern Black Forest. By its exposed place, it is an excellent site for a telecommunication
and an observation tower. On Hochblauen, which is often shortly just called "Blauen", there is also an inn with a hotel.

From there the following radio-programs are spread: Baden-Wurttemberg SWR1 (89.2 MHz / 8.4 kW), SWR2 (92.6 MHz / 8.4 kW), SWR3 (97.0 MHz / 8.4 kW), Germany radio (105.1 MHz / 10 kW), radio rainbow (101.1 MHz / 8.4 kW) and 106.0 aerials south bathing (106.0 MHz / 8.4 kW). Besides, the amateur radio relay DB0YE is also accommodated there.

The transmitter supplies primarily the southern Upper Rhine valley as well as wide parts of the administrative districts mash region-high-level Black Forest and Lörrach. These two towers appears to be located in the neighboring municipality of Malsburg-Marzell (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malsburg_%28Malsburg-Marzell%29. Please check into that.

Close to the towers of Hochblauen, there is a hotel, the mountain hotel Hochblauen ( http://www.berghotel-hochblauen.de/unserhaus/index.html ).
It is situated according to its address on http://www.berghotel-hochblauen.de/kontakt.html on the area of Badenweiler community.

Nevertheless, Malsburg-Marzell has according to http://www.destatis.de/cgi-bin/druckansicht_gvsuche.pl?200761911191.htm 1533 inhabitants in 2005.

Today, I contacted the community Malsburg-Marzell, in order to find out on the area of which communities the towers are situated. The answer is a bit surprising:

The telecommunication tower is situated on the area of community Malsburg-Marzell, while the observation tower is situated on the area of Badenweiler.
