From the PSBJ, a nice three page look at the current constuction boom, and its effects on things like material prices, and UW grads:

So - think this is just a bit of cheerleading? Or is this a truly accurate summary?

"We really don't see any end in sight. We know construction is cyclical, so we know an end is coming, but we sure don't see it on the horizon," said Kathleen Garrity, president of Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. "It's very, very strong."

-I think this maybe an accurate summary, or I at least hope so. But anyways it's good to hear.

I don't think anyone really knows when it's going to end. It may happen sooner than they think, but then again it may not. It's a gamble.

Honestly, has the real estate / construction industry ever NOT been caught offguard by a downturn? Historically, this industry has been notoriously poor at anticipating market cycles.

However, there are key points to look for that are signs of a downturn.
