As am I. The green line will be great but the orange line will be greater because of the connection to the DFW

Interesting. I just wonder why they are not going underground in the downtown area.

There's one or two stops underground... why the rest downtown aren't is unbeknownst to me. :(

There is one stop that is truly underground (CityPlace).

DART is going to build a second line through downtown by 2013, which will be underground for at least part of the way. They are currently conducting studies to determine the right mix of buses, streetcars, and light rail service needed downtown.

DART was very very specific and had been planning every detail like they were ready to build the day the funding went through. Every impact on every neighborhood had been discussed to death. While I think there are changes DART needs to make, they are serious about planning down to the last tie and are really building a great standing as far as continuing to recieve federal and state funding.

Don't forget that they made space for a Knox-Henderson underground station when the line was dug through there. The station was never finished out due to neighborhood opposition, oops.
