better than the other ones you have drawn. Keep up the good work.
Sep 20, 2003, 2:57 PM
Good job, Ryan! :)
Sep 20, 2003, 5:05 PM
your best yet imo
Sep 20, 2003, 5:29 PM
You're getting there. Keep refining it, it is your best yet.
Sep 20, 2003, 9:50 PM
Yes definitly. You have got the colors down, and your shape is getting better and better. Keep it up. You are making good progress.

Thanks guys! I learned that the more I slow down and concentrate I get better results and yes it is my bestest one yet.
Sep 21, 2003, 5:18 AM
your bestest indeed! ;)
Sep 23, 2003, 9:32 PM
I want to try and draw it and not lose any of the detail.. :)
Sep 23, 2003, 9:41 PM
You could try drawing it at 1:1.
I do all of my drawings at 1:1 in MSPaint. If they come out too fat(Like my first ESB), I then resize the width in Photoshop, and then try to clean up anything it made look less detailed.
I used to add clouds/sun-glare in MSPaint(The last drawings I did entirely in MSPaint was The Chrysler Building and Woolworth), but it just got too time consuming...so I do that in Photoshop now.
You don't need a fancy program to make a nice drawing though. The last diagram I did completely in MSPaint was this:

thats better than my empire looks...I'll redraw it..
Sep 24, 2003, 2:36 PM
Of course it's better. He's had a lot more practice than you've had.
Sep 24, 2003, 6:06 PM
Practice? Once I get a new telephone cord, we'll see who had more practice... :)
I have a brand new drawing of the Empire State Building but due to the telephone cord incident, I cannot show it to you until I get one. It's better than my recent one....way better. Believe me!
Sep 24, 2003, 7:49 PM
What does a telephone cord have to do with anything?
Sep 24, 2003, 7:51 PM
Yes, what does it? :???:
Sep 24, 2003, 10:08 PM
Maybe he's on the forum using a distant computer and his home computer's phone cord it messed up. There's a variety of things that could have happened. It's not that surprising, guys.
Sep 24, 2003, 10:11 PM
Usually phone cords aren't the problem and aren't hard to get a hold of...
We're not dumb.
Sep 24, 2003, 10:14 PM
I see what you're saying. I'm just saying give the guy a break. Obviously there's something wrong and he can't show us the diagram just yet.
Sep 24, 2003, 10:25 PM
You'll be able to see it tomorrow, I got the cord on the way now. The reason I bought the telephone cord up is because the old phone cord was 'cut'. This telephone cord goes to my computer which has MS Paint. Without the telephone cord, I cannot show you my latest drawing.
Sep 24, 2003, 10:59 PM
Lilton- I wasn't giving him a hard time, I was just wondering what was the matter.
Ryan- I'll look forward to seeing it. :)
Sep 25, 2003, 5:16 PM
This isn't in the diagram yet but this is full size:
Sep 25, 2003, 6:49 PM
That looks terrific, Ryan!! The base doesn't really match the rest of the building.
That is your best yet! :)
Sep 25, 2003, 7:11 PM
Oh yeah, oh yeah! Who's the man? Who's the man? lmao
Just kidding, thanks Buck. Was I wrong about the drawing?
Sep 25, 2003, 7:14 PM
Man, you're getting better at this very quickly. Your drawings have improved greatly! But there is still work to do. :)
Sep 25, 2003, 7:54 PM
Sep 25, 2003, 7:58 PM
Well, until it looks like Damiens or Cliffs, there will always be work to do. :)
Add some more detail. Work on the entrances. You know, little touch ups.
Sep 25, 2003, 8:54 PM
So that's it eh? We've declared Damien's & Cliff's as the pinnacles, the absolute summit of ESB diagramming right? :)
... I agree!
