How about "Exhibition" or "Showroom Space"?
Example: The Atlanta Apparel Mart. You rent out space. For now, I put Conference...

'Cinema' might be a useful use for some buildings (albeit not many),
the worlds tallest Cinema, at 63m is situated in Glasgow: http://www.skyscrapers.com/re/en/wm/bu/146571/

Thats a tall cinema! There is already Theatre, and I think Cinema could go under that.

Buck, what is your definition for exhibition?
Should we separate cinema from theatre?

How about adding Fitness Centre/Gym and Swimming Pool.
Shouldn't the Structural Type Clock be under Building Use?

I don't know if we should get so specific as to include fitness centre. If that is all a building is used for (and it must be a small building!), there is always "other".
A clock is a physical object, so thats why I put it as a structure.

Trump Tower - Chicago, Columbus Tower - London and 21st Century Tower - Dubai will all have Fitness Centres.
Its becoming a pretty common thing to find a gym in new office and mixed use towers.

Can we have 'electronic advertisement' or something like that, for buildings in Times Square, NYC and Tokyo?

I believe "electronic advertisement" is just something they put on buildings - unless of course they built something big just to put advertisement on it :)
And even if they did ;) the possible name for section could be jus "Advertisement" which would include all kinds...
Sounds too specific though...

Some buildings, like Conde Nast and Reuters, have specially designed mounts on them for huge video displays.

Eli, we do have "sign" as a structure type. It includes signs, advertisments, and logos on buildings.
John, yeah a lot of buildings do have a fitness centre of some sort, but I am just concerned about having too many different building uses. I have seen some buildings that have an almost rediculously long list of building uses, such as http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=9891 , and I begin to wonder if they are all really necessary.
There are two reasons we have a building use category, 1) so that we can see what a building is used for, and 2) so we can do searches for specific building uses (with the new search system).
So we have to question wether it is really worth it to know of every single use that occures in a building, right down to secondary uses which there could be dozens of.

perhaps confrence should be changed to convention/exhibition, that way it can include all of the,

Dylan- Exhibition would be for someone to display something. Not necessarily for retail or conference, but to show something. For example, an artist might set up a showroom- not for sale and not as a museum but for exhibition.

I gave it some thought, and put fitness center, showroom, and cinema in the list now.
