Of COURSE the areas with the highest traffic counts are going to have the most accidents. It's that rather self-evident?

Wouldn't it make more sense to analysis top crash areas expressed in terms of crashes PER daily traffic count?

The sad part is, this pic could have been taken ANY TIME of the day. The Port Mann is only free-flowing after 11PM, on a Wednesday...

Four of the top ten... are located on the outdated design of Hwy 1, which Gateway upgrades will be include much needed safety improvements inclusive of collector/ distributor lanes in the vicinity of Willingdon and directional ramps elsewhere;

The two top ten involving the Kinight St. bridge also confirms that it too requires expansion both in terms of capacity and most notably in terms of auxilary lanes to prevent alot of the dangerous weaving and merging;

And of course, the Patullo Bridge needs to be twinned, with the existing structure serving as three lanes;
