Your link says the building is 96 meters in height.

Jul 26, 2007, 9:30 AM
I did not find this height in source, but up to you. I will pay attention not including all info companies about building in future. Thanks anyway.

Could you also review this info about those towers?

"O autor recorre a uma frase do arquiteto norte-americano Frank Lloyd Wright - “o prédio precisa ser e parecer alto e ter solidez”, em tradução livre - para explicar o partido adotado: um edifício alto (96 m), com uma implantação pouco utilizada atualmente em São Paulo, com recuos generosos e uma área frontal semipública."

I don't know what you mean by "revies ths info about his towers"

Jul 26, 2007, 9:44 AM
Oh... I beg of pardon, now I saw. 96m seems to be the most correct up to roof.

About the towers, they should be reviewed and added interesting infos about the facts written in emporis. Mainly the Wtower which was for many times problems of eletropaulo and in justice. Now beeing reviewed as floors and rebuild again. The outside facade is changed. Maybe I have to request them, but if you do the including right now I am grateful for you. Thanks

The drawings all those towers are into consideration.

Jul 26, 2007, 9:49 AM
Could it be the first one measures 96 meters to the roof and 103 meters to the helipad? I'm not familiar with how helipads are usually set up on roofs.

Please request the four towers to be added to the database. You can do it in this thread, if you'd like. And, remember, for facts, just add the most relevant and interesting. Don't copy them all down from Emporis.com, especially since the form says to put any facts into one's own words.

Jul 26, 2007, 9:53 AM
I would say to put back the height including the helipod total 96m. the tower I know personally and it is not that tall. As Helipod is only the empty concrete flat roof space above the glassy part, is seems not additional space frame structure was constructed. Some heliports in Sao Paulo bldgs are made afterwords the construction like citicorp in avenue Paulista, but in this case it was already in bldg plan.

I will make request tonight to the 4 towers and some corrections. Thanks for your time.

Built in the place of the very first television studios in Latin America, known as Palácio do Rádio, owned by the former TV Tupi broadcasting station in the late 1970s which the original building of TV tupi Studios existed in this site since 1950 was demolished to give place to the tower, a more sophisticated broadcasting center which included the TV tower completed later of 1980, when TV tupi went bankrupt, by one of its successor channels SBT owned and inaugurated since then by Silvio Santos, a self-made man in SP commerce. In the beginning 1980 only the new studios complex could be inaugurated on time, the tower not.

Nowadays SBT hires the studios out to Abril communication group, which keeps there the headquarters of the paid TV station ESPN Brasil

There is a exclusive restaurant for corporation executives at the atop of the concrete base of the tower, which is 90 meters tall, which serves for the business executives among of 34 companies of Silvio Santos Net.

Today is all Silvio Santos: 4.300 m2 apart rented to MTV (the building constructed in 1960 in Rua Alfonso Bovero and the studios of Rua Piracicaba) and for ESPN Brasil, at Rua Catalão. The tower is in place the first building of TV Tupi demolish at end 1970 years from TUPI Net.

It is the biggest televisive block of the country.

The first television Net of Brasil and Latin America was there born in 18 september of 1950, the 'TV Tupi de São Paulo', PRF-3, Channel 3, with official name of 'Rádio e Televisão Difusora', here inaugurated. Work of Assis Chateaubriand, owner of 'Rádios e jornais Diários Associados' (the Tupi Radio was there before). Equipment of Television images in Sumaré was installed and retransmitted before in an antenna ontop Ed. Altino Arantes, the building of Banespa - Banco do Estado de São Paulo in centre.

The building of today MTV, next to Torre do SBT, with also a Lattice Truss tower on it top, since 1990 has a front ceramic panel with indians figures made by a German artist as symbol until now of Tupi ( tupi is an indian name). Many other artist paintings are in building, one of them 'Retirantes' from Cândido Portinari.

Reinforcing the televisive block, in 5 june of 1983, TV manchete was here inaugurated at Rua Bruxelas, next to SBT. In 1990, the Blochs, Manchete owners, changed to 'Bairro do Limão', but the tower atop the Bruxelas street building is used for the today Rede TV signals, which bought TV Manchete.

Also the Real Television since 1937 is in this block situated, owned by Manoel Augusto Moreira.

For this entry, near Torre do SBT, although in somewhere in emporis.com is listed as having 158m, 155m and in feet 154.8m, as my drawing is made in base 155m, I would keep the info 154.8m/155m as the most correct.

See please if I have to change to 158m.

I am considering removing the Ads in the lower part of the tower of my drawing, which glassy walls are there in the beginning. If you change to 158m, let me know. A reviewed drawing would be uploaded and I would like to be both kept. Thanks.

Interesting Facts/Records (in own words):

Built first as Eletropaulo building, during its concrete structure construction the company Eletropaulo went to be solved to private owners, as before belonged to the SP State city council, changed to privatization, which made several conflicts in justice and the site was stopped to be built as Eletropaulo Headquarters. The concrete Structure stayed for years in abandonned, on-hold, status.

Since then, many considerations were made to the unfinished concrete structure, to be sold, to be imploded or to be finished in some way. Many problems were occured in structure, water infiltrations and stability considerations remained unsolved for years. In March 2007 a crane was assembled atop the building, the same month that construction resumed after several years on hold.

The total number of floors was increased from 32 to 42, but when construction resumed (in 2007) the top four floors were demolished, reducing the building height to 28 floors. Only then the 14 new floors were built.

Eletropaulo means Eletricity of Sao Paulo which during the government of Paulo Maluf the name is also to him associated.

Four construction workers died in June 25, 2007 during the installation of a second construction crane atop the building.

Wtorre is in accordance the owner of Stores Daslu, which also considered a Greek temple as Retail store besides the building. If all that would be kept is for me unknown. Also a shopping Mall was considered in the site.

A consideration of changing the project to 116m with lower floors is also in the thread. a Ritz Carlton hotel was also considered.

The building is like rms Titanic, born to be died as too many problems and injuries are togther this unlucky building.

- antenna:
- spire: 151m
- roof: 122,5m if 35 floors estimate, 112m as 32 floors the on-hold concrete structure of Eletropaulo company, 98m - 28 floors (most correct). estimated as 3.5m floor to floor.

Current Building Status (Built, Proposed, Canceled, Destroyed, etc...): Under Construction (Many years as on-hold)

Above ground floors: 32 in the beginning, changed the project to 42, decreased to 35 or 28. I am really not sure how many floors this bldg would have anymore. On rendering I count 24 floors to the concrete part, out the glassy part which is for me unknown. Maybe the upper glass part has 4 floors more. In total I would consider 28.

The Eletropaulo structure had 27 floors + Ground floor making 28 floors. 4 floors of concrete were dismantled and 4+5=9 glassy floors with steel structure would be upper 24 floors included. So, the most correct is 28 floors until the inclinated part of glass. I do not know if the rest 5 inclinated glassy floors is just one or 5 ones.

The rendering shows also 35 floors if you count more the rendering the glassy part with spire.

http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=10890In end of text consider the word storey instead of story.

For Edifício Ana Luíza consider 91m estimate, 3.5m each floor. Actually residential buildings in BR do not have floor to floor too high. 102m is too much for only 25 storeys+ground floor. 102m fits good in a 29 storey. It is not the case.

Slow Down!

You're also not doing what I asked, and that's consolidating the information into fewer words. You're still writing entire stories instead of short sentences and paragraphs.

Also, "story" is the correct spelling. "Storey" is a British spelling.
