Very nice. How much dominance does Wroclaw have in Poland? Seems like it getting tall towers for a city that may not be very big (or is that a mistake on my part?).

Grunwaldzki Center looks amazing. If only Stockholm had enough LRt/trams to need something like that... :D The towers shown also look sweet, i'd love to see such going up in my hood :)

City has about 650.000 inhabitants. It is the fastest growing city in Poland, in terms of poulation and economically speaking - one big construction site. It is located in Lower Silesia province, its GDP in the last 6 months grew by 11%. It's by far the best managed city in Poland and the region is becoming a high tech mecca for many international companies. It's already one of the biggest centers of white goods manufacturing in Europe and in 2 years it will be the center of flat panel manufacturing in Europe.
I would place Wroclaw right after Warsaw in terms of future economic importance and development.

Tricity is Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot - 751 837 people (1 080 700 in agglomeration), 415 km²
while Wroclaw - 635 000 people (850 000 in agglomeration), 239 km²

Sky Tower looks great and the height is fantastic. I wonder if it will be the only skyscraper in that area or the others will be nearby?
I also don't understand why Leszek Czarnecki decided to remove Poltegor Centre. Maybe it was cheaper to replace quite old building than to buy a new area? I think that after complex reconstruction, Poltegor could serve as another CBD centre.

City authorities planned for this area to become a new business hub (CBD). There is no other CBD planned (as far as I know). The company had performed a structural analysis and some business modelling and refurbishing the old Poltegor was simply cost-prohibitive. So they tore it down to make space for a new development.
Here is something interesting. When they sifted through the rubbles they found so many different cables that nobody knew nothing about that they came to a conclusion that every room in Poltegor must have been bugged !
