That's Brad Maule? He looks taller in the newspaper:)

Way to keep on top of everything - and soldier on through the heat, brining us upskirt views of Billy Penn, you bad boy.

BTW, I think Chicago's Western Avenue gets that distinction, not Broad Street.

What a treat!

2 (general) questions:

1. I know you had your car there, but have you ever gone up a parking garage just to take some photos (when your car wasn't there)?

2. well, ok, I guess three questions for city hall obs deck...it's $5 now? and did you use a polarizer for the tower shots?

Nice new angles. That one of comcast and love park...is now actually an angle bc comcast sticks out there. like the iron one too. keep'm coming!

Superb! The photos and the tower.

I am surprised they are covering 2 sides, but they keep the other walls without windows...
I've been in Philly for 1-1/2 hour on the 20th of july, afternoon.
I've seen the skyline from the museum only, Comcast without glass walls.
Comcast looks great from there.

good show there, MJ. you really did knock out some nice shots considering how disgustingly hot it was.

Thanks a lot for the comments everyone!

Way to keep on top of everything - and soldier on through the heat, brining us upskirt views of Billy Penn, you bad boy.

BTW, I think Chicago's Western Avenue gets that distinction, not Broad Street.
It was definitely a hot one. They closed the observation deck after I got down, since the temperature up there had reached about 95.

I once heard that Broad was the longest in the road, until some Toronto-ans started mentioning Yonge Street. I wonder if there's any way to get a real answer. Google Maps, I guess.

Thanks. I agree about your comments on the shots from Love Park. There is much more to do with those compositions now that Comcast is there.

1. Yes, I've done it a lot actually. But if I'm driving into the city and I know I want to go to a certain garage, I'll usually drive up into it. It's only about $10 in that one.

2a. Yep, $5 now. 2b. I did use a polarizer (and I almost always have it on all of my lenses during the daytime, unless I need to take it off for shutter-speed reasons). However, whenever I used the polarizer to minimize window reflections, the color in the sky was not as good. So on most of the shots I just let the reflections come and photoshopped them.

Phabulous, Phantastic Philadelphia!

Although it was hazy and sticky, I was surprised how clear it was (at least for pics within the city) from the observation deck. There was no way I was getting clear shots of my building 10 miles away, though. I tried, and it was like trying to shoot pictures through a white sheet.

Thanks for the great pic.

I can't believe comcast is almost finished. When I was last on this forum, the building was barely above its foundation. It looks fantastic!

Lucky's back!

MJ, Yonge Street, I believe, gets the nod for the continent but I was under the impression you were looking at the USA. Now you're sounding like a Brazilian I know:)

Hey, I was only reporting what i heard (on another thread here), not what I thought was a fact. :) I take every American stat coming from an American with a healthy amount of skepticism unless I know the source.
