I wanted to share my Drawings with you, some that go back to 2006, but yess I'll start with this one, I really wish I had a clearer picture of this one.

ISLAND CITY
May 21st 2007

Its not one of my most Creative Drawings but one of my favorites, finished it in time to make copies for several people days before 8th Grade Graduation.

Theres Some landmarks in ISLAND CITY (Idk the actual city name), The Tunnel, The Building with an arch inside it, The UTC Tower (United Trade Center), Observation Tower, A cluster of NYC inspired towers (AIG Tower, 20 Exchange, 40 Wall), The Gant Enterprise Twin Towers, the (Jefferson!?) Bridge, Civic Center, Stark Plaza the over-eggagerated cross bracing tower, and a final bridge.

A Los Angeles styled ghetto is in front.

That is seriously awesome Patrick.

I liked to draw a lot in school since it was so boring. I was a pretty good drawer, but I never really saved anything. I think I have some stuff somewhere. Never drew a detailed city though. Good work.

Not to sound rude but I did say "I wanted to share" my drawings. BUT, sure why not.

Nope, to me, rulers is basicly cheating.
No not really, it just comes to me as it goes.

Oh shit, sorry mate, I thought you just wanted to make a big condensed 'drawings thread.' My bad. Now it probably looks like I was trying to one-up you. :(

I'll take that down, if you like.

I dont really care its all good :)

WELL, HERES

"The Great American City"

Washington DC overall isnt very impressive as the CAPITAL of the United States. Shouldnt the Capital have an amazing skyline and be reconized around the world?

Obviously it isnt in Virginia, I have no idea where, Supertall Art Deco Towers with Palm Tree Lined Parks, but the idea is the picture to scream USA!

Landmarks (L to R) Tower 360, The White House, Shneif Real Estate Plaza, Grant Insurance Tower, United Trade Plaza (many have asked, is that the World Trade Center!? It is really supposed to look like it), The Chateau (Below), One Freedom Plaza (Below), Westly Crown Plaza, Olympus Bank Plaza, The Lloyd Capital City, Reynlond Tower, Windsor Plaza.

The UTC Tower (United Trade Center) Stands at 113 Floors (Tallest in the US), and the Grant Insurance Tower stands at 93 Floors (4th in the US).

Obviously I made this thread to show my drawings, Rbowk has to compliment Mike's (well drawn) drawing, come on if he really wanted to comment that drawing then he can tell Mike to make own thread. Come on.

Patrick you really need to lighten up. I know you like to act as the dictator of SSP but you need to chill out and allow people to voice their own opinions.

And for the record, I was not directing that at you. Why look for an argument?

Omg I was so out of line. I'm just going through some "physcoligical issues" (trust me its bad, notice not much Staunton updates!?) and the smallest things on this thread have lately bugged the hell out of me. Okay we have some new drawings.

The Original Metropolis
Modern Metropolis
04/05/07

By 5th Grade I had started drawing several cityscapes with their own style (I cant wait to show those to you guys!). By the end of 5th Grade I had started drawing mainly the Same city but usually with a different skyline.

Oceanside, Oceanview, Palm Vista, thne later Staunton, where the primary names of this city. IT was a west coast city, probably a richer version of Los Angeles. The Tallest Building was the LEXWORLD or LEXCORP Tower. Headquarters to Lexworld Enterprises or the Lexington Corporation. Little did I know Lexcorp was actually a fictional company in Superman's comics. When I found out I changed it from Lexcorp to Lexworld, Lexworld was eventually replaced by Galviston Enterprises, or Galcorp.

This was 7th Grade, some of the landmarks in OCEANSIDE, (why the hell did I name this drawing Modern Metropolis!? so uncreative)

The Westlife Hospital, The Hotel, JC Summit Towers, The Residences, World Entertainment Headquarters, CLEANpo Power Plants, LexWorld Tower, LexWorld Hotels, West & East Square, Skeet Boston Plaza, (parody of Fleet Boston), City Hall, City Hall West.

Oh and the freeway sign says "Stay Safe, or else!"

http://i4.tinypic.com/624fbid.jpg

The Real Metropolis, not really.
Metropolis 2
Summer 2007

I started this drawing near the very end of school, finally resumed in the first few weeks of 9th grade.

I started out with a Sydney, Australia styled city, (Mo, maybe you can reconize a few Sydney Buildings) but eventually ran out of ideas. I was becoming a fan of that hit show on the CW "Smallville" which is about Clark Kent's life as a teenager. I've never been a fan of the comics (look at the way they do Metropolis! eww so unrealalistic!) but I saw Superman Returns and really I wanted to do my rendition of Metropolis. This wasnt it, it was last minute.

This is a very new city, few older buildings, No Metropolis, the only way you can tell is the Daily Planet Building and Lexcorp Towers off to the right.

Landmarks include: Centennial Park, UOL News Garner Center, Club 360, JC Summit Entertainment Headquarters, City National Bank Plaza, ComWorld Plaza, Governors Tower, Sk8 Brand Plaza, United Airlines Building, Daily Planet Building, One Lexcorp Plaza, and StaRR Plaza.

Chifley tower (beside Auroura)
Governer Phillip tower (beside Chifley)

The Lexcorp Tower was based on the Bank Of America tower in Seattle, see it?

Oh and the Starr Tower was based on the Citigroup Center in Sydney.

Seattle's Bank of America building (or Columbia Seafirst Center ;)) has always been my favorite skyscraper. I love the curves, it is so simple yet stunning.

The Daily Planet Building is based off of the Woolworth Building.

5th Grade
omg.

CAPITAL CITY
Had no Actual Name, so Tada!

I LOVE this drawing. No date!! But Yeah, one of my favorites, I've never made such a tall so balanced out city. This drawing gives me the feel of driving down the freeway and seeing the big city. Reminds me of the City in the Matrix Reloaded.

I went wild with Corporation Names back thenn.

Corporation Corporation :haha: YAN Electronics, West Corp, 1st Bank, Mayfair Inn (actually real), Tower Club 360 (notice all my observation deck towers have 360 Atop them, theres one coming to Staunton!), Logan Bank, FarEast Square, US CORP.

http://i9.tinypic.com/6glstht.jpg

Modern City Skyline

No Date! Most of my drawings from 4th - 5th Grade had very little perspective like this one, until late 5th - 6th grade I started doing perspective again.

Again you'll notice a simular skyline, several boxes, crown jewel in the center.

Logan Plaza, US Corp, CTN News, Citibank (OMG, I knew it was real), West Square, Duracell (Another real one!).

whos that?

nice drawing Patrick!

I remember making a drawing in 2nd grade after 9/11 called "Old York" it was my first drawing of a skyline ever. I never liked skyscrapers till december last year, before that it was solid planes planes and more planes.
