View Full Version : What is the deal with Skysong?

I was looking at the site today - it has taken them FOREVER to get a poor excuse for a 4-story building out of the ground. The whole site looks ridiculous.

South Scottsdale, that is, the South part of Scottsdale, there isn't some bizarre town named "South Scottsdale"

from what i hear, they are either breaking ground soon, or have already broken ground for a second building, and the second building is already pretty much leased out and are talking about ground breaking for a 3rd within a year or so.

Yeah - and the building has wound up sucking what little tech there was in the midtown/downtown area (i.e. Cannon) to this project. There is some new stuff in Skysong too - just odd little things. :) Doesn't help d/t PHX though...

Joe, I totally agree with you on the crappy design of SkySong. I drive by that bland building everyday to work, and it's such an ugly, bland, uninspiring building. When I think of "SkySong," I think of something big and unique. Kills the moment when you see how ugly this building is.
I'd categorize it with the Ugly Buildings of Metro Phoenix:
1. Sheraton Downtown Phoenix Hotel
2. Hassayampa Academic Village
3. Maricopa County Superior Court Tower
4. SkySong
Andrew,
Your post cracked me up. The sad part is that all of those buildings are NEW! Is ugly the wave of the future?
