As I stated on C2E - I like it, but the curtain wall needs extending

What about the other two sides?...Would I assume correctly that the curtain walls be on all four sides and that the south side would also be at an angle like the north face...and does the west and east sides also fan out? Hard to say from the rendering.

/\ Don't worry, it will be curtainwall on all four sides.

Minor cosmetic changes aside... that is EXACTLY what is needed for that corner. It couldn't be more perfect. It's very "lite" looking. Will be very noticable from across the river and definitely add some modernity to our "dated" downtown.
How sure is this?

First The Edmontonian, now this! Can't wait to see what's next!
Melcor? Oxford?

Not too sure compared to what I've heard about other proposals > Melcor, Oxford.

One would hope. But that is not what's shown on the rendering.
The south side shows sunshades, and that's it. If there was glazing on it like there is on the North and West then it would be visible above the top of the roof. But it's not.
And assuming the existing EPCOR/Capitol Square tower stays for awhile, then there won't be much space between the two for glazing on the east.
I'm assuming most have already seen my mockups on c2e, but here they are again:
Boring South:

More interesting South (although no one would build it):

What is the size comparison of this potential skyscraper to other larger, existing skyscrapers in the city?

I guess I was not going crazy when I first saw the rendering. I do like the south side triangular curtain wall mock up...that may be even nice all the way around.

So, as far as height, it looks like right around 300', does everyone agree?

That's more or less what I heard, hopefully with a re-skin of the old building as well.

Better yet - tear the old building down and build the new one twice as tall.;)
Any of you Edmontonians heard anything about the Epcor building in Calgary. There was a rumor about a month ago they were going to add on vertically. I'm sure Epcor doesn't own the building but I thought I would fish around anyway. The calgary building is UUUgggly - anything would be an improvement.
Congrats on the new announcements up there - keep them coming.:)
