Just realized all the other tower threads have green arrows next to them. If it matters at all, a moderator can feel free to add one to this if you can.

I like this tower... but I wish that there was a bit more variety and evolution of point tower architecture. Too few architects designing this city's skyline.
I mean you can tell in a glance that it's another James Cheng design.

I like one harbour green better has a very nice finish:

They have begun adding the stone finish on the townhouses facing habour green park, the stone is a light brownish colour, looks quite nice, but not as striking as the red on HG1.
Someone want to walk by and take a picture?

The large glass panes and the absence of spandrel panels (vertically) on the facade make it look much cleaner than your typical James Cheng building.
I guess the big suites have more flexibility for interior layout.

In my opinion one of only a few buildings I've seen where the building itself looks far better than the rendering... it looks almost office like from afar with only the horizontal spandrels.

Was there an agreement with renaissance to not block their views, judging from some of the pics, it seems they left a rather large gap between HG1 & 2, they could easily have fit in a 4th tower in those 3 sites.

not that i know of... i think it's just the angle of the pic. hg2 does block a significant portion the renaissance

Yeah, I think there was a lawsuit and settlement agreement.

An update from yesterday. You can finally see the crown taking shape. Looks infinitely better than the original renderings.

The finishing on the Harbour Green towers (from Escala all the way down to HG2) looks to be far above any other projects around.

I think HG2 is officially my current Vancouver fave. Maybe 'cause it looks so 'Miami', but I love it. Now if only I had a few million to spare.

It's really impressive from street level, they did a great job with the marble and stonework on the podium. The lobby looks like it'll be pretty impressive too, with a big atrium as you walk in.

Marble clad columns - is that a first for a Vancouver condo?
Are the stair risers lighted? or is that a reflection?

Not the most architecturally daring building in Vancouver but easily one of the nicest.
Love the look.
