So Is There Absolutely No Construction Projects Going On In Taiwan Or Are You Folks In Taiwan Just Too Lazy To Post Anything?
Come On!!! I Know They're Building Kaohsiung World Stadium, Kaohsiung Arena, Taipei Gate Twin Towers, Chiayi National Palace Museum, Taichung Metropolitan Opera House, Nangang Exhibition Hall, Kaohsiung MRT, Taipei MRT Expansion, Among Other Projects There. Why Aren't You People Posting Anything????????????

I think the truth is, there's simply not enough forumers who is actually IN taiwan to give us those updates.
Finding news about Taiwan nowaday's pretty hard unless it somehow involves China.

Ok, I'll give you an update on the projects you listed above.
Kaohsiung World Stadium - still working on the foundation and basic support structure
Kaohsiung Arena - structural steel is completed with crews now working on the interior
Yida Fun City (my title not theirs) - work on the hotel and shopping complex is progressing, but the massive observation tower has magically disappeared from recent renderings.
Taipei Gate Twin Towers - MRT Songshan line is under construction but not the main structure of the building (nothing of significance will happen til the bus station moves).
Chiayi National Palace Museum - site planning and landscape prep work (lake)
Taichung Metropolitan Opera House - site planning but no prep work
Nangang Exhibition Hall - exterior completed
Taipei Dome - site planning
Taipei Stadium - foundation under construction
Kaohsiung MRT - red line almost completed - the smart money says it's operational before the presidential election in March
Taipei MRT Expansion - Neihu is slowly progressing, but it'll take an act of god to complete the project before the end of 2009.
The Xinyi Maglev - put on the back burner to die of neglect
Xinyi line - deep hole under Xinyi Rd. Wouldn't be surprised if the workers played cards most of the shift.
MRT circular line - talk but no action
Taoyuan Airport MRT - construction of the Cingpu depot, but nothing in terms of the actual line. If they strated construction today the line wouldn't open til at least 2013.
Nangang TRA/THSRC Station - under construction
* OT - THSRC is now averaging 50,000 passengers a day.
Songshan TRA Station - under construction
Shinkong Hotel Xinyi - nothing
Cathay Hotel Xinyi - nothing
President Hotel Xinyi - level five? structural steel
Lihua Xinyi - just about topped out

Where is the official Taipei 101 forum?
it's in taiwan forum somewhere. ever since it's been completed there's been very few postings about it. you know, old news. go to skyscrapercity.com and there's a thread about it too, but also few postings.

Seems to me that there are some relatively interesting developments on Guanyingshan mountain. I will start a thread soon to highlight this huge construction scene.
P.S.
...and it's not industry related!

most of the skyscraper fanatics in taiwan don't speak english that well, and they're the ones who actually regularly take pics of construction updates. they are active on another forum whose primary language is chinese.
i guess we can start some threads on some of the famous buildings/construction in taiwan and discuss them. they won't be the most updated, but they will keep the forumites active and raise awareness about taiwan beyond taipei 101.
