I just downloaded this board a couple of nights ago, and this is one of my projects I've been working on. It's still a little rough, but what do ya think so far ?

 that's what we do , makes it seem more real i guess
It reminds me of San Francisco, though i don't know many U.S housing styles

Here's the progress so far. I've only been playing with this for a short time, so I'm not familier with all of the ins and outs. I did click into the google section, and as soon as I get done, and completely figure everything out, I'll locate my drawing.

Actually the architecture is more similar to eastern cities, and maybe certain parts of northern or midwestern cities. It's not exactly the same, but that is the parts of the country that inspire me the most.

The homes should face Delaware and Pallister streets. Thanks. Of course I may change locations once the neighborhood gets bigger. Unless, I can overlay actuall homes ?

I've added another building, and made some slight improvements on a couple of the previous buildings. I've also added some street lamps, and a tree, as you can see.

More progress. Eventually I want it to become a small town, with a few blocks like this wrapped around a square. I will also touch up a few things, and add even more detail.

pretty nice,
Detroit has the least expensive skycrapers it seem, and a lot of them waiting to be recycled, and reinvented.
In the future you should build a couple of skycrapers in the hood, imagine the level of detail?!
Good Job

Are you doing room by room in each house? That will slow your computer down if you are so it's best you don't. Besides, interior's are almost never shown in big scale things (such as a neighborhood).

This one is new, though I'm not finished with the yard and streetscape around it. I started off doing a queen anne, but it turned out sort of a hybrid between that, second empire, and maybe a touch of gothic.

I've been playing around with the lighting, and edges, but I'm not decided on exactly how I want it to look just yet. So I'm going to leave it this way for now. I did discover that you can hide certain edge lines without completely turning the edges off.

Nice.
Please turn off profiles! That way you can see better details!
Go to View, then on edges, there it should say profiles and click on it to uncheck it.
Other than that it's all good....

nice town, i like the detail, and the contrast of the brands like the gas station. BTW, What's a Peoples Bank? It's just a name I thought of off the top of my head. I thought it sounded friendly instead of naming it after a large cold chain. Other independent names in this town are "Harrys Herbs", "The Little Corner Store", and "Pops Pizza".;) I'm glad you like though.

The gas station is prefect, but could u change the bank direction to other side, as people prefer watching cars coming and going instead of seeing a wall. My oppinion. The peoples bank is better now. :)
