The drought has ended. This is the first Montreal thread I've posted since last May. I certainly have been taking plenty of photos but, between the trips to Toronto and Vancouver and the fact that the last thing I want to do in the summer is sit at home working on photos, it has taken me ages to process them.

No idea. I hope something will happen soon because it's the main corner of Chinatown. I don't know if it will be another supermarket, though. Since the fire a new supermarket on Clark has really established itself as a serious force. There's also that Swatow development that is supposed to have a huge Chinese supermarket in the basement.

It's a battle that takes place every Sunday on Mount Royal, right behind the Tam Tams, which are a weekly unorganized drum circle/mass picnic/craft market. You can read about them here:

I think there is a small billboard at this site of, if i remember, maybe a large 4 or 5 story building. The rendering was pffff but at least it had a Chinese-ish roof.

Fucking incredible thread. I'm impressed you were able to suck some beauty out of St-Henri and this was honestly the first time I had ever seen Point Claire so fanks for that.

Great pictures. I wish I could go back, now that I've picked up a bit of French...just a bit. It's an incredible city, though I was a little sad when, on my last day there, I saw my first Cafe Starbucks Coffee :-(.

Maybe. I think they're on a CD somewhere. If I find them I'll probably upload them to Flickr. I don't imagine that St. John's has changed much since 2001.

Trust me I go by there every sunday (when it takes place) and the people that attend this are mostly teens and youngsters, there are some older people, but they're probably related to the smaller kids.
