Hey everyone,

As per the original thread on this topic, there was support for considering an SSP:Local forum design for Halifax.

With respect to the development sections, I've listed "Downtown and City of Halifax" and "Suburbs" as the two sections. Do the following sections look about right for the initial launch?

Construction and Land Development
>>Halifax Peninsula & Downtown Dartmouth
>>Suburbs
>>Urban Issues, Urban Design Issues, and Heritage Issues

Transportation and the Economy
>>Business, Politics and the Economy
>>Transportation and Infrastructure

Entertainment, Dining and Recreation
>>Arts, Culture, Dining, Recreation and Entertainment

General and Photography
>>General Discussion
>>Photos

Looks great, though the only change I would make is:

>>Halifax peninsula (possibly include "& Dartmouth")

The term "City of Halifax" is a little ambiguous nowadays, and I think the majority of the development discussion would concern that on the peninsula. That's why I personally would include Dartmouth with "suburbs"...but I dunno. Otherwise, :banana: thanks Mike! The photography section sounds pretty cool.

Yup, sure, that works. Any sub-forum names you guys want is what you'll have. But the "sections" we'll keep static to maintain symmetry between all SSP:Local sections :D

On second thought, "Halifax Peninsula & Downtown Dartmouth" might be a little more appropriate, since "Dartmouth" would encompass all the associated suburbs as well.

Help me understand this... where would these sections be found? Still within the Atlantic boards or elsewhere? Would they replace the Official Project Thread discussion?

This sub-forum would link from the Atlantic section.

The mega-thread construction forum would be replaced with project-specific forums. Catch-all threads will exist for project rumours and news/announcements/discussion not pertaining to projects with their own threads or topics that fit better into the new sections. The pre-categorization of data and organization of topics makes it much easier to find and reference info and definitely helps new users catch their bearings.
