At General Motors Place, there is now a BC Ferries "white button" under the new scoreboard....similar to the one for Air Canada under the Air Canada Centre's scoreboard. There is also a BC Ferries flash all around the power ring when the Canucks score a goal. Looks like the next change will be a brand new and louder goal horn...maybe the same horns used for the BC Ferries ships? :p

Kinda cool, and it hides the ugly under the scoreboard. BC Ferries is the new sponsor for the Canucks Goal Celebration.

Why in the world is BC Ferries spending money on advertising?

^ They privatized. They operate like a business now.

^ sort of like how Air Canada was once a crown corporation and now a private company.

my only criticism is that the button is a bit bland...could use a little more creativity and colour.

Not merely a business, a monopoly that I highly, highly doubt would take kindly to a competitor using their (well, the taxpayer's!) terminals and facilities.

Btw, prices are going up on the major routes on Thursday.
