As a native and citizen of New Orleans I want to state that my deepest sympathies are with the residents of S. California who are suffering from the horrible fires that are devastating your area. I can only say to those affected to simply look forward as the future is always bright. I would like to ask all to consider making contributions to the Red Cross as they were very helpful for New Orleans during the Katrina tragedy. It is rewarding to see lessons learned from Katrina applied to the present disaster. It is sad that the same thing could not have been applied during Katrina as we lost over 1,800 souls to our disaster. At least it likely has saved lives with the fires of California we witness. Godspeed Californians. Sincerely...Sean
