when did bercy start its redevelopment?

The Palais Omnisport was completed in 1983. So, I guess that the redevelopment started in the late 70s.

The area doesn't work well for me. The Ministère des finances was a big mistake.

I agree, I'm not particularly fond of this place neither.

Bercy brings mixed emotions for me, it's like an attempt to create something that they weren't aware of it would be good or not.

This one acts like a barrier not as a building

mmm...don't know this bit of Paris at all... is it within the ring-road? From those pictures we could be in almost any western city...

Of course, central Paris it is within the Peripherique ring road.

It does look suburban.
That's one of the areas that would be dramatically improved by a cluster of tall buildings.

Too bad Paris is so tepid and conservative.

But It's a thing of beauty, not a mistake. That's an amazing building.
