there are two kinds of chinese restaurants in the world: those that cater to the chinese and those that don’t. if you want to pay more to eat at le chinois then that’s your business. but if you want it loud, cheap and delicious, then jade garden is your place.

owned by the same people as b&t, jade garden has a similarly large menu. it’s known for its seafood, dim sum and many mouth-watering soups. the service is fast and friendly, though it can be a little erratic like b&t. you’re best advised to eat family-style ordering many dishes having a bit of everything…at least that’s the way i do it. the décor is fine, if not a little spartan but who really cares as long as it’s clean? two can dine very affordably. don’t be fooled by fine dining chinese restaurants. go for the authentic experience at jade garden.

This place is across the street from my new office.

I'll be sure to give it a try.
