From the votes counted now 35 minutes after the ballots have closed, people have overwhelmingly chosen the pro-amalgamation to Kelowna candidates.
This is with 4500 votes counted. More are to come, but looking at them now, I think we will have another referendum, and eventually Westside join Kelowna.

Laughing stock of B.C.

Sorry for wasting your (the taxpayers) money.

Well, unofficially the Kelowna side has one. They have elected the mayor, and two councilors. I was for them in the beginning, but I wish the people would've voted then, and not wasted so much money.

Word.

That's great news.

It is good news, somewhat. My problems is that the amalgamation side didn't get out to vote during the referendum. And they got pissed off that they lost. So now they wanted to change that by winning the Westside Municipal election.
This all costs a lot of money. Rosalind also didn't even win a majority, she won by voter splitting.
It's unfortunate that it will have to come through here.
Also, from what I've heard, it will take much longer than the 11 months she's said to amalgamate, more like 5 to 6 years.

Now if only Victoria's 13 cities could amalgamate one day, even partially amalgamate to bring the fiefdoms down to a realistic number.
