SAS to add New Delhi and San Francisco flights
Friday, 09 November 2007
Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) international is launching two direct intercontinental routes from to New Delhi in India and San Francisco in the US in autumn 2008. The launch is part of the airline’s expansion strategy, which this year has resulted three new routes between Stockholm-Bangkok and Stockholm-Beijing as well Copenhagen–Dubai route. SAS is also expanding its fleet with an additional A340 for the new routes.
The carrier will initially offer four non-stop flights per week between Copenhagen and New Delhi from November 2008 to support India’s strong growth and demand for flight connections. San Francisco- Copenhagen route will initially have three weekly non-stop flights. The new A340 aircraft to be used on the New Delhi and San Francisco flights has approximately 245 seats in three classes: Business Class, Economy Extra – an upgraded economy class with extra legroom and extra in-flight service, and Economy Class.
