Very cool cloud pics, kind of spooky, but very cool! The shape of those cylinders reminds me of three mile island.

Dramatic shots.

That's steam, not smoke, rising from those cylindrical cooling towers, and towers like those are used by both coal-fired and nuclear power plants.

Funny timing Cbautz that you just took those pictures: Today in the Post-Gazette is an article that the Clairton Steelworks will undergo a $1 billion dollar upgrade/renovation (if approved by a regulatory commission & economic conditions remain favorable). Looks like heavy industry is alive and well in Clairton!
