Will these buildings be the tallest in this area?
Yes, by Lougheed, for sure. Actually, they are the tallest in all of Burnaby by floor count at 37 floors each. But I'm not sure about actual height...

Yeah the developer claims they will be the tallest in the city but I highly doubt that they will be taller than the Metrotowers, who knows though at 10ft a floor they pass 350 ft.

they will really dominate the lougheed area - they are on much higher ground than the other area towers

I noticed that as well. North Road might turn into quite the urban corridor in a few years.

i think most of the towers there now are 30 storeys or under - i lived in one and it was 27 storeys same as its neighbours and they were about the tallest ones

I was in the area today and grabbed a few pics with my cel, they appear to be on the 12th storey of the tallest tower and just getting above grade on the smaller tower.
Sorry fort the bad quality... but its all you get.

^Cool pics. These towers really stand out, you can see them from a number of different vantage points allover the city. There's a really great view of them from Burnaby lake.

They are visible while driving back from UBC.

Does anyone know how many meters/feet they are ?

looking close

the retail interiors for the liquor store and shoppers drug mart were done a while ago - if it weren't for the outside being so undone and unsafe they could be open probably - save-on was quite a bit from being done though - getting caught up now

and they have added yet another traffic light to the already traffic light filed north road

the tim hortons is now open! i drove past yesterday and looked like a lot of people were going in and a lot of walks around the sidewalk

the shoppers didn't seem open but i am sure its going to be open any day now

save on was looking closer - stocking shelves and such

the TD also looks open

most of the north road side looks useable anyway

Me thinks a mixed-use pedestrian corridor connecting between Cameron/North Road and Lougheed SkyTrain Station would be awesome.
