This much grass should NEVER exist in a downtown area. The upper part of it is soon to be the Basillie School of International Affairs.

Today, a large vacant lot. Soon, a community with 1006 units of high density housing, a 5-star hotel, and the "leasing" sign is already up for the office buildings. This will triple or quadruple the existing "skyline" of uptown Waterloo.

Tacky looking pile of barrels in memory of when today's Seagram Lofts once brewed beer.

Also used to be a Seagram brewery. But today, it is the building for the Centre of International Governance Innovation.

Bauer lofts. Now there is a crane and the underground parking is under construction. Will include a 15 storey building, 130 residential units, 75,000 square feet of office space, and retail tenants, such as Vicenzo's and William's coffee pub.

Nice photos!

I don't recognize this. Where is it?

Eventually, I hope. We're stuck with a big parking lot for now, though. :(

Tacky looking pile of barrels in memory of when today's Seagram Lofts once brewed beer.
Hey, I like the barrel pyramid!

The Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. The buildings were clearly designed by physicists, not artists. :yuck:
Hey, I like the PI building! (And clearly I'm not the only one, considering it won a Governor General's award, among others. :P)
