Man I love the tower architecture Vancouver is getting :previous: - along with Shangrila, Ritz Carlton, Woodwards, & many others. Best quality design consistency in the country if you ask me. Now if only they were a little taller . . . :hmmm:
BTW - thanks for compiling the expanded listing Caltrane  (this web site is awesome)

Also, where did you get those Mississauga heights in metres? I have been trying to find out the heights for One Park Tower and Solstice for a long time now, as I believe they are both over 400ft, but can't find the info....have you a source where I could find the numbers for these two?
Someone else copied them from Emporis. Not sure about the accuracy though as I find many of the underground levels and elevator counts on Emporis are often incorrect. (that reminds me, still need to add hundreds of building stats I've accumulated to missy highrises on SSP)
Caltrane, if you want to believe a bunch of pubescent adults over the site specific bylaw which allows a maximum of 157m for the Festival Tower than that's your perogative. Same goes with the Four Seasons whose OMB approved height (just google it) may or may not include the mechanical but still is more official that an outright guess.

I think nearly everything under construction in Vancouver just got bumped from the list but as a former inductee in the top 30 I thought people would like to see an update of Vancouver's Capitol Residences (126M).
Capitol Residences

It took a lot of effort to get to this point. The site previously held an aging six-screen movie theatre with extensive underground parking. It had to be gently destroyed and then further excavation required blasting with dynamite. All of this is taking place directly adjacent to The Orpheum Theatre, which is the city's grandest and oldest. The mixed-use Capitol Residences will house a music school, green room and rehersal space for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, which plays in the Orphuem, as well as condos in the upper portions of the tower.

I'm pretty positive. - They didn't start with much and the planning wasn't great at ground level. - But it's still a start so I'll give them credit for that. - Later intense development around Cityplace will put more life and vibrancy into the community over time.

^It's pretty much what I expected. A livingston of a different shade. It's a little early to write off just yet but I certainly would love to hear the chemist's first impression of Jamieson now that it's more than just a flashy at dusk rendering complete with pointy doodads and a band of christmas lights. Okay, maybe patience is a virtue.
On the other hand, Telus' curtain wall so far is not nearly as grand as I have been led to believe. It seems "The Cheapening" has taken hold of this project as well. Time will tell. The silver lining is it's still more current and thus better than Jamieson.

Jamieson could be okay, the glazing is blue, so it won't be as dark as Livingston. If city Centre goes up beside it, it will provide nice contrast to Livingston and Jamieson. No glass on Centennial yet? That will be an interesting race to watch I bet Jamieson will go up faster, but Centennial is building 2 towers at once..

These ones have been off the radar for a while.- When they get above ground things will change fast.
Probably the most avant garde of the canadian skyscrapers under construction at the moment.

Wow, the dark facade on Jamieson looks great. I wasn't too sure about it in the renders (Thought it looked a bit tacky) but if the materials are as good as they look it might turn out to be a great project.
