I didn't read the article till now. I found this part of the entry interesting:

WOW, what a very impressive wikipedia entry and from what the Spec reports mostly the work of a single individual, Rick Cordeiro. Certainly, a labour of love.

Shame he's being laid off in May, and thinking of leaving the city for Alberta. Someone should "step-up" and offer him a good job to stay in the area. To me he's a definite plus to Hamilton.
