So is it just me, or is anyone else getting tired of looking at this dude everytime you check out this forum?

^um, I don't think he shows up on mine...never seen him before.
Unless, like Dougall's bike safety video, I just block him out?

Never seen that before, thankfully. I got rid of the most-recent-post thing a long time ago. Hated it.
Interesting that that was your 666th post...

Yeah, I see this guy quite a bit too. His facial expression changes tho. So you don't ads tworivers? I guess I could get rid of that section and maybe that would get rid of the ads.

I use ad blocker. I've never seen any ads on this site. Guess I forgot they had them.

The ads make this site happen, guys. Without the ads we'd have a difficult time keeping this website running.

I don't have a problem with the ads at all, I just thought it was strange that everytime I open the Portland page I see the same ad. It used to change, and now I get to see this handsome guy everytime.

Haha, yeah he's quite the looker ;)
Ads are oftentimes targetted to specific IP addresses. It could be that your service provider or your work's service provider (if you surf at work, that is) has been targeted specifically by Epson.

Son of a b!$tch...now he's showing up more and more on mine. I'm probably looking for it now. Not everytime though like ForAteOh.
ad away Mike, I like to see the site stay around.

Word, thanks, Mark.
We're going to try and get better fitting ads over time but it's a slow process getting everything tweaked properly. It'd be nice to run ads that are very relevant to lots of members and that way they're not so much ads as colourful, blinking and noise-making links ;)

It's a little annoying, i'll admit. But sometimes, when I can, I will ignore block the Plugin.

I under stand that advertisements make this forum possible and I am fine with that. Until today when I was informed that I have won a free computer with an actually a sound bite! I hate ads with sound!Sorry just venting.:hell:

I work for a non-profit, but I get ads geared towards college kids. Sigh.

Yeah, the talking ad just got me a couple minutes ago. Not really cool when my boss comes in and is rambling on and on, so I start searching the net...like I have a REALLY important e-mail or something...and then the ad talks...
"hey Mark, whatcha looking at over there" my boss says
"uuummm, nothin"
I support ads too, just not the pop-up kinda or the kind that makes noise.
