I have a bunch of my photos at the Irish Cultural Center in downtown Phoenix for the next month. The photos were hung today, and I'll be there this Friday for First Fridays. There was no charge to me and, if any photos sell, I just need to give the ICC a 20% cut.

Well, I am Irish, but I'm sure that had little to do with my selection.

It started with a gallery owner I met on the last First Fridays. We chatted, I gave him my card and we left. He called me last week and said they had reviewed my work and had an opening at the ICC. He cautioned me it was during the slower summer months but I didn't care - I jumped at the opportunity.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Yeah, congrats Don. I'm going to the ICC this Saturday (beer festival) so I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.

Actually, I'm not that much of a beer fan. I'd much rather have a Diet Coke. But don't tell the people at the ICC that - they might order me to give up my Irish ID card.
