Here's a photo I took in around 2004 and the newest one taken on June 25, 2008.

Perfect timing for this thread. King5 just did a news piece on Bellevue: Depressed economy not slowing down Bellevue (http://www.king5.com/video/featured-index.html?nvid=258320)

Nice shots!
I'd like to see a another angle from north bound I-405. That angle would show Bellevue towers and Lincoln Square better. Great thread.

It reminds me of Southgate or Troy

I have the old pictures at that angle. Too bad I can't drive and take pic at the same time. I took the old pic when my friend was driving that time.

Seattle's economy hasn't really slumped yet, if I recall. I mean, I think the increases slowed, but we're still talking about above-average in most regards. What never makes sense to me is how Microsoft always plugs along, despite the fact that it has a bunch of very public problems with their products - is it just license royalties? I know they have a diverse palette, but surely Windows and Office isn't enough to keep them from laying off?

Think about all the Tier 1 support they charge customers (big companies), licenses for each product to those same companies... etc.
