Hey Barrington South I'm not quite 50/50 but I figured I'd give you a heads up that I would like to make an appearance just in case I can get away for a bit after work and before hockey.

In any event thanks very much for the offer, its very generous of you, and I will continue to support you fine establishment on a regular basis even if I can't make it tomorrow ;)

i will be at the very front of the patio, where it meets the street.....i will have two tables pushed together, and be sitting there, chillin.....i'll be wearing a black Manchester United had, and pair of shades. I''ll be there 15 min early just in case someone arrives early.....if there is any problem finding me....just ask a server....they will tell you where to go..

the weather looks sweet at this point....hopes it holds up!!

I wanna thank everyone who came out to the ssp Halifax patio get together last night....I had a good time and it was great meeting some of you....I look forward to doing it again next summer

I though I would announce this now, even though it is months away.
Due to the success of the first annual ssp Halifax patio get together, I have decided to hold a Christmas Party down in the pub.

All you can drink, and full bellies for all....

guarantied..
.no matter how many show up.

It will be held in very early December,
as I am going on a 5 month Odyssey throughout the South Pacific-Australia-Thailand....There will be no changing of dates like last time,
so hopefully more people can make it out this time...I would like to offer a courteous invitation to everyone that contributes to this site... don't be shy!!!!....Cheers...

I was thinking the 17th or 18th in the evening, say 7:30-10:00 kinna thing....I'm easy though. if people are interested, we can do it any time that is most convenient:)

I'm interested. defenitely can't make it on the 17th though.

Between the 18th and Christmas Eve works for me (or the weekend after New Years).

Maybe this time I'll recgonize faces and not awkwardly stand on the patio ... :P

it will be fairly quiet in the pub on the Monday, especially being so close to Christmas, but other than that sounds good. so Mon the 21st at 7:30

One of these hasn't been discussed for awhile so I thought I'd throw the idea out there. :)

I was thinking the Holidays season say around December 21st (or whenever the most people will be in town)?

Unfrotuantely Barrington_South isn't around anymore but I'm sure someone could think of a good place to eat in Halifax.

Hell if people need a reason to show up I'm willing to get in a fistfight with Keith over bicycles, buses, ferries, and rinks. :haha:

I said December 21st but if you fly home the day after we may be able to push it back a couple of days. Xmas is on the weekend so unfortunately any meet date would be a weekday evening.

If they beat each other up enough they might need some provincial tax dollars to fix themselves up in hospital. :P

Anyways about half a dozen people have mentioned interest which is good. Since halifaxboyns is arriving on the 22nd I'd vote for the 23rd if possible for most people. If it's too close to holiday events the 22nd might work as well.

Im a Lover not a fighter. Never raised a fist to anyone in my life. I have received a number of hard slaps across the cheek for some "Tiger woods" type incidents where I was caught and one solid received punch in the nose - she told me she didnt have a boyfriend.

Have a nice gathering. Im a newbie here and if you noted me and Fenwick almost on same page now with the CC. There was a solid exchange of information that led to that.

I agree, I actually was initially peeved off at Buckey but then I started reading the information that he was posting and I learned new information. I think we agree on most points regarding the CC. Personally, I want it to proceed but at the best financial terms possible.

I am a fairly old geyser with limited social interests other than my family, work and technical interests (I am a technical geek) so I will save you the boredom of me going to the forum meeting. I am far more likely to bore people to tears (probably by talking about stadiums all night) than to get into a fight (physical or verbal). Also, I don't get back down there very often since my wife and kids are up here and my kids all consider Ontario to be home. It would be interesting to meet people on this forum sometime, especially if some people start holding meetings regarding a Halifax area stadium (I have a one track mind).

We were just kidding by the way (hence the laughing smileys) but its good to hear you aren't actually mad with people on this forum over our differing opinions. :)
