Smaller PC friendly pics this time.
The golf dome ( ugliest structure in TBay until it was redone but still ugly now.) The CLE in the foreground.

The big silver government building. Normal cities save prime locations like this for resorts or hotels but we have an office overlooking the lake view lol.

The pagoda. It used to have polka dots on it but they restored it to it's original look. One night I will sneak there and repaint the dots.

The guy with the dinosaurs is in Rosslyn Village somewhere, and the bird houses are on Black Bay Road at Leslie Avenue in Current River, I think. Mainline 1 goes by there. :P

You should also get a picture of Paipoonge's Cow-on-a-Stick. I think it's somewhere on Highway 130?

Thanks for the tour!

If I've learned one thing from this thread, that would be that people in T-Bay have way too much time on their hands (re: dinos & bird houses)!

I always assumed that side of the lake would be sandy like Michigan's Lake Michigan coastline, since prevailing winds go from West to East and the sands are continually re-fed.

We're on the western side of the lake, which would be the UP's and Wisconsin's coast, and the east coast of Superior is also rocky.

Thanks for the comments. The lake is sandy from Duluth around the South end of the lake and from Duluth North is rocks. We got the rocks dammit. We do have some sandy beaches around but nothing really great. I will find a photo of some sand around here to post.
A tug boat at work.

Here is a shot of a tiny cottage on a tiny island on Surprise Lake. Fitting name huh. I used to have a cottage on this lake so I took the pic years ago and I don't know the guy so I put a black mask on him.

Another view from the North facing South of the cities North End downtown. Taken from the parking lot near the overpass to the marina. I like this shot.
