A vision of a new neighborhood is emerging for the Fort Lawton Army Reserve Center in Magnolia's Discovery Park.

My Opinion: I don't like this.
1) We have so few large open green spaces in Seattle. This is our Stanly Park or Golden Gate Park.
2) It's far from transit (car traffic).
3) Closer-in neighborhoods are behind in reaching their estimated growth (SLU, Lower QA, even Interbay between Magnolia and QA).

:hell: This is one of those stupid Ideas again. We have the opertunity to have a HUGE park for our future, something that could one day be like stanley park and those ass holes want to profit from it and build that SH!T. The city is already lacking park space, Now is the time to fix this problem. Oh God!!:hell:

I'm happy that some agree with me. Now if we can persuade the city to nix this now and evermore...
