I'm interested to hear your views about Dundas Square. It certainly doesn't let anybody indifferent. While I really like Nathan Philips Square, I'm not too sure about Dundas Square. For sure, I don't like the new building at the northeast corner of yonge/dundas. I think it looks like an old industrial building. And I'm not sure about all these giant TV screens either. On the other hand, I like having bands performing at that location. And Dundas Square definitely lacks trees or flowers, it's only concrete.
It's obvious that the city has attempted to replicate what New York has done on Times Square but on a lesser scale. In many ways Toronto is trying to emulate New York but shouldn't the city be focused on developing it's own personality?
Overall, I don't like it that much. But that's only my opinion and I'm sure many people really like Dundas Square too. But anyways, your views.
