Suite building with store or office on the bottom

but is it part of the same complex? cuz it totally doesnt match those 3 other white buildings at all.

It is the same complex, the four buildings actually match together.

don't care for the 'white frame' design. it makes the whole thing look busy and shorter than it really is. what a waste of the rare height for taiwan. i have concluded that taiwanese developers/designers are not capable of designing graceful sleek towers. 90% of all new towers built in taiwan are just so damn hideous. :slob:

Razqal

i just think its weird they combine that green tower with those white ones. they totally don't match in design and they're built so close to each other. and why do they have to be built in a row like that and be all about the same height? how about some variation in the heights and placement? i dont get it.

The buildings are too close to the road.
If they also integrate the old apartment just next to it, it will much better.

seriously are there any codes and regulations that exist in taiwan that dictate and regulate how urban developers should develop the town and cities and how architects should design buildings? are there govt. officials and law enforcement who enforce them?

you have these tall buildings like this eyesore that sprout out among low rises for no particular logical reason and looking totally out of place. and why do these towers have to be the exact same height lined up in a row forming some huge wall? cant the side ones at least be shorter than the middle ones? this reminds me of that other taipei dome complex with the 4 tall domed towers lined up right next to each other forming an ugly brown wall.

I try to find the urban redevelopement code or regulation from Urban and Rural Development Bureau,Taipei County Government that present in English.
I find a lot of useless information.

Let me imagine, if develper cut number of towers down to two, how will this project look like?
Massive twin tower with 300m+?

^^ Taipei is the best planned and most convienent city to live in. I have never been to a city more vibrant and convienent than Taipei. It is the lack of urban planning that makes it go great.

That is the weakness side of Taiwanese city, especially the authorities try to enforce developers follow the law. In fact, the concept of urban planning in Taiwan fall behind the development country. There are still a lot of improvement in this area.

Lots of cities are this way. Taiwan is moving forward and now they are building buildings in the 12 to 30 storys. Before it was 5 to 12 storys. In about ten years, just guessing, TW will start on the next level which is 30 to 50 storys.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taipei - "Taipei (台北)"

You make me laugh... First if you want to use wikipedia as an example, you need to learn how to read. On the right part of the web page above the pictures, what does it say? 臺北... And below that, down the page it has this.

Taipei City
Traditional Chinese: 臺北市 or 台北市
Simplified Chinese: 台北市

Second, Wikipedia is a forum that any one can update or change. Therefore, it is not always accurate. As shown above 台北市 is Simplified and Taiwan does not official use Simplified. However, Simplified is used by the average person on a day to day bases.

Lastly, I guess you did not grow up in Taiwan because if you did you would know that the correct way, politically correct way is 臺北市.

So you are telling me that the Taiwan government is wrong and that when they do official documents and put 臺北市 on them they are wrong???

What is used on the Taipei official government website???

I don't know what exactly location is, but the worst location should be the opposite side of that street. If it is, when people walk in street is going to have sense of pressure, like Hong Kong.

If they maintain the building, it may not that worse. Unfortunatey, Taiwanese people don't like do this work.
