This little infill is coming along nicely in the Glebe. I'm not crazy about the architecture, this isn't Domicile's best effort, but the building will fill this empty spot quite well. On both side streets they have ground-oriented units, like a mini-version of the townhouse podium (without a real podium), which really opens up the building on all its three sides. (my pics)

This place should look pretty good when it's done, however...it's going to make the oldschool apartment complex on the west side of Bank look totally Ghetto, even more than it does now...

Here are some shots I took today of the almost-finished "G" spot :D
From the south, at a distance, it blends into the street and takes its place as it should, the way any infill had to on this site;

The south side, frontong onto Central Park. Two of the units will have street-level stoops onto the sidewalk:

How many floors is this building? A good illustration of how an infill project can be "made to look" smaller than it really is. It looks like 3 floors, but from across the street the 3rd floor is concealed behind the terrace walls.

And it does a fine job "meeting the street" - even though it's of pretty banal architecture:

Another background building that knows its place and does its job unpretentiously.

I like this place.. it really does a good job of fitting in with the neighbourhood.

i thinks its ugly. it looks very stark and cold and reminds me of an office complex. they could of added a bit more detailing etc. it looks like something clairidge would build not domicile.
although one good thing is its interaction with the streets

I went by here shortly after Christmas, and I really like the patios on the third floor. It's a good infill project.
the added benefit of the LCBO across the street is a plus. :cheers:

If you're referring to the apartments seen on the Left side of this picture (hidden behind the tree) then you are out of your mind. That is a gorgeous building that adds tons of character to that stretch of Bank and the Glebe. It's old, but I bet the units are $$$ and very nice inside.
