This seems to be the case now as many developers have put on hold most major schemes with only a few continuing as normal.
One of the biggest loses is the Leadenhall Project in London City which has been delayed until unknown time.
All this due to the crippling credit crunch which is due to last until 2010.

That sucks, but at least the Heron Tower and 20 Fenchurch Street still seem to go ahead.
Edit: I just read that the Piccadilly Tower in Manchester also seems to be on hold. What the hell is going on in the UK? The entire rest of Europe is building skyscrapers like never before. Especially Poland, Spain and the Netherlands currently have a skyscraper boom, new skyscrapers have also started in Frankfurt since the German economy has recovered and even Italy is building its first major skyscrapers.

Hopefully these other european countries wouldn't be affected by the UK skyscraper depresion. BTW Do you think it's possible that the Millennium Tower in Frankfurt is going to be buildt?
