I will be in St. Louis for a few days, and would love to get some good skyline pictures. Does anyone have any locations that are easy to get to, free, and legal? I am looking for something in the traditional view of the city, looking west ( I assume). A parking garage would be good, or a park along the river. Something facing this way:

Cahokia Mounds, The Bluffs in Illinois, the lookout next to the Casino Queen, The East Riverfront Metrolink Station, The Eads Bridge...

Eads Bridge for sure. You can walk across it.
Or...if you're gutsy, take the interstate bridge (hwy 64,70,55) across the river and exit on Rt. 3 (Mississippi Ave on your map) Travel about a 1/2 mile ( you can go to a strip club or music venue, all open 24/7/365 if you like but that's not gutsy) or just turn around and get back on the bridge to St. Louis. Stop on the bridge, that's gutsy, and you'll get some great photos.

I went down to the area where it is supposed to be that park, Malcon Memorial or something. I couldn't seem to find much, there was some construction, but most of it seemed to be Cargill facilities, that Casino, and railroad tracks and cars. There wasn't any great locations to park or shoot from, so I didn't get anything. I drove around the area but couldn't seem to find any clear riverfront areas....
This eads bridge looked promising, where can I park my car and walk onto the bridge from?

If you drive east on Washinton Avenue, along side the Eads Bridge, to your left (north) will be Laclede's Landing, where there are plenty of parking lots, and to your right (south) will be the Arch parking garage.

Cool, thanks. I will try to get down there tonight!
