You see that 7-11 There? Well it used to be shops lined up against the sidewalk like you see on the right side of the photo. Well, as you may have known (but probably didnt) The National Highway still ran through there. Well, One Day in the 70s, a tractor trailer Lost its breaks. It slammed into a restaurant and businesses after mangling cars (Including my mom's friends mom, who lost her life in the incident). At This point, they urged to build a new highway away from their town. Many were killed in the incident and the truck driver was left with severe burns to almost his entire body. Yea, I always found that story interesting

Yea, Frostburg state helps the town out a lot, keeps it going. But the students rarly settle in Frostburg. There are (or at least were) a lot of old people in Frostburg, which is mostly to blame for its population loss, these days at least (when the mills closed down, it really took a toll on the town, my grandfather even lost his job to ppg for ex). I think the town will start getting better though!

A couple of weeks ago, I decided at the last minute to drive down to watch the Houston Cougars play at Marshall. The drive from Boston took me right by these towns. I was amazed by the natural beauty. Was not expecting that at all.

Frostburg is aptly named too. When I left Boston it was 67 degrees. By the time I reached Frostburg, I had to pull off the road in near white out conditions.
