There's also the Tao of Tea...I really don't know if there is a reason. I prefer tea myself and I live in Portland.

No Portland is just as much of an coffee/espresso town as Seattle with those independent drive espresso shacks on every corner. It is just a NW thing. In fact I have driven through rural Oregon and passed through remote ghost towns where the only open business is an espresso shack.

For the record, I usually drink tea in Portland. I get it from this nice lady on Hawthorne, her mint his home grown if I remember correctly.

If anything, Portland is to weed as Seattle is to coffee. But the average person associates Seattle with coffee, I don't think anybody outside the area associates Portland with tea.
