Boise is so awesome. It definitely has a northwestern feel to it. I love all the colors, great pics.

Fabulous thread. I prefer this kind of buildings much more over those modern sky scrapers. Absolutely beautiful fall colours. If I would not know any better, I would say that this was New England.
BTW, how do you pronounce Boise? Is it like Boy-see or like Boys?

Nice pictures. Those are some nice looking homes; Boise sure is a beauty in the fall. I also love how those old streets have those great landscaped medians with trees that enclose the space so nicely. Whatever made people think that grass yards and curvy streets were a better idea than a grid with beautiful boulevards?

Impressive! These are the kind of tours I greatly appreciate also, the neighborhood walkthroughs of any particular city. I also applaud the details and image size, it's quite enjoyable.
Interesting sector of the city of Boise, varied detached single family homes, ranging in design and material which each were constructed from. Very picturesque, especially with the numerous colored leafs, the area appears tranquil. I'd imagine the day was cool and slightly windy, hearing the leafs move on the pavement as the low wind blows. I will be anticipating more of Boise in the future, thanks for the excellent post.

Thanks!
The pronunciation is often debated for this French name, but most natives say Boy-see while a lot of out of out of towners/staters say Boy-zee. I have a French neighbor who recently moved here from Paris and he emphasizes the "S" in his pronunciation. Either way is probably correct because I have had French friends at BSU who have emphasized Z instead of S.

:worship: Wow. What a beautiful neighborhood. It's amazing how the leaves cover everything with color. Sort of like mercy for what winter is about to bring. I wish we had more fall colors down here.

I lived there for two years growing up. Absolutely fantastic neighborhood. Full of democrats, easy walk to Downtown or the foothills. Nothing like old houses on tree-lined streets.

Thanks everyone! This Spring I will put together a more inclusive thread of this neighborhood showing even more varieties of homes and buildings.
The Northend is fab to live in, the mix of people is great and there is an obvious sense of community.

The Northend is directly north of the downtown core and continues to the base of the Foothills and spreads East and West; both the neighborhood and downtown blend into each other.

Where are the potatoes?
They are probably at restaurants and stocked in grocery stores in PA and the rest of the Eastern US!:)
