This is probably the city I would have settled down in if I had to move to the US. Good job.

This is probably the city I would have settled down in if I had to move to the US. Good job.

The City has had an appeal for Norwegians historically. There's a big Norwegian Constitution Day Parade in the Ballard neighborhood every year and the King Harald and family tend to stop by when they're in the States.

Yes. Mt. Rainier adds some extra dimension. Pretty amazing that it's so huge from 60 miles away.

Love those days when "the mountain" is out. IMO Seattle has the best panoramas and most picturesque setting of any American city. It certainly has grown since the days when I lived there...and it's been quality growth for the most part.

Seattle is looking quite fresh. Some high quality, modern tall building downtown.
Hey, what's the ultramodernist building that is kind of wrapped in a sheet of steel diamonds?

That's the Central Library. Innovative and well-reviewed by some, but controversial.

Agreed, that's a really great picture. You should've knocked down the sign, though. ;)

That's true. Views of mountains and water are good, but it's our hills that let people see them. The hills don't look bad either.

I agree, that is an awesome picture!

Sometimes the Philly smog looks a bit like mountains in the distance.
