Brigil is proposing to construct its Watermark subdivision, located on the south side of North Service Road between Tenth Line Road and Trim Road. (8465 North Service Rd.)

Phase 1 of the development is to comprised of a mixture of mid-rise apartment buildings and freehold townhouses. Block 1 consists of two 24-unit apartment buildings, while block 2 is made up of two blocks of 6 townhouses each.

Should this be on an Ottawa thread, or one for Montreal? Actually, I drove (and drove!) out that way last week for the first time in the more than 25 years I have lived in Ottawa -- had to turn back when the nose bleed got too bad!:haha:

Nice... blow away the farmstead and its barn, the access road disappears beneath house foundations and part of the mini-woods in the middle of the site goes as well. It becomes yet another development without any history or sense of place. This subdivision was literally planned as if there wasn't anything on the site already.

Dado...I think you'll find that in many cases suburban development like this usually start their thinking with a blank canvas...in other words nothing of note exists there today...sorry to be so cynical. I don't know the site myself, so I can't comment about whether or not the existing farm house and barn are worth saving.
