Have a pic?
I like the new look. The interior is identical to the older newer buses.
I'm still more than a little jealous of the C-Tran commuter buses.

Photo's not mine, it's from here (http://www.trimet.org/bus/newbuses.htm) (info about the buses is there, too). Mark, I agree with you, C-Tran's buses look pretty nice, at least from what I've seen of the exterior.

Yep, pretty standard NFI D40LFR bus to replace some of the old Gillig Phantoms (same model as what C-Tran uses almost exclusively based on the fleet list on cptdb). As that page notes, there really aren't many changes beyond the look of the front, though the new look is better then the older boxy look from the D40LF's.

Something they don't mention is that I bet these newer buses can take advantage of the lower-sulfur diesel fuel that is now available. I had a newer bus pass me on Main or Madison and I noticed immediately that I couldn't smell it as it passed. It's a great improvement of our air quality, and the sooner we can get these cleaner engines running through the city, the happier I'll be!
Since I work on the transit mall, hopefully we'll be getting some of these added to the mall routes to "show off" the revitalized space.
