Haha, thanks man. I think it's the 4th photo I've had in the Avenue Magazine.
For a while they were sending me two copies each month!

You'll probably end up with 2 again. A friend of mine had a picture in April's edition. It was the one of the water bomber fighting the forest fire.

Was in Dynamic City for a few hours delivering construction materials to the UofC EEEL project (cool building BTW) and managed to snap a few:

Couple things I noticed:
* Bow is an absolute monster coming down Deerfoot from the north...first time I have seen it in person, last time I was in Calgary it was just excavation.
* Cranes everywhere...I think Calgary has wrestled the 'crane capital' distinction from Vancouver...
* Traffic is way worse than Edmonton, was there at rush-hour, and every road is like the Yellowhead with an accident :)

Whenever I go to Edmonton for work, I find the driving to be quite relaxing in comparison. Fewer traffic jams and more courtesy from/to other drivers makes for a nice commute.

I never noticed the top faux facade (I'm sure there is a proper architectural term) on the old Customs building, now Dialog. The Keynote penthouses must be amazing!

There's a flock of these Hungarian Pheasant (or so I think) running around sometimes near my house in Tuscany. I have been mistakenly referring to them as "Prairie Chickens" for no better reason as they run around, never fly, and live on the prairie.

Where did these come from? There's a flock (?) living near the Curling Club in Sunnyside that you wouldn't need a telephoto to get pics of i walk right past them they don't even flinch.

I did a little digging on Wikipedia. I think you're right, Hungarian Partridge, aka Uncommon Gray Partridge. Although from reading about the Pheasant end of things, it sound like it's a real mess trying to figure out what kind of Pheasant you might have in some areas due to crossing of different types. To tired to dig into this further now and confirm - I'll ask my wildlife biologist friend next time to ID the pictures - I might have just mixed it up in the first place.

I saw him while I was walking down 11th right by my office, this smokin blonde came around the corner, then a second later Theo came around and was just glaring at me, probably saw me checking out his wife or whatever she was. Never felt so intimidated by a guy who is 5'-6" before lol. This was before he decided to get on the wagon I think, when he had that concrete business.

As Eggbert mentioned it's Kevin Costner. Being an Oiler's fan, I don't think I'd waste a shot on Theo.

Kevin was checking out some of the band at the Stampede Roundup party at Fort Calgary. Snappped that as he was walking from the stage to the media tent.

He seemed like a cool guy, very approachable and posed for photos with everyone who asked. Mind you half the people in the VIP area didn't even notice him.
