Another immigrant Calgarian, but born and raised in Alberta. Calgary is the 10th place I have lived in this wonderful province but have moved 13 times (not counting university). Had the pleasure of living in Edmonton 3 times and Red Deer twice.

Of the 5 of us in my office, none of us are native Calgarians. 2 are from Alberta, 1 from Sask, and 2 from overseas.

I haven't slept at home since last Stampede as I am renovating with no end in sight. I'm not complaining, it is all good, I'm just saying it is a longer time than I thought it would be and I'm not blaming the contractor for any of the delays.
I am temporarily living 72 blocks due north and I wish there was a 4th Street bridge over the Bow for my daily back and forth convenience between the money pit and the place I sleep!
My temporary bedroom window looks down on the back door of the Calgary Crematorium where the white vans bring the bodies in. It doesn't spook me, but it adds a bizarre element to an otherwise park-like forest vista I have of Queen's Park cemetery.

I am a second generation Calgarian and Albertan born in India raised in Montreal, and Calgary is a great place to come home to.

I think that makes you a first generation Canadian/Calgarian/whatever. Although I get the impression you might have spent very little time in India, so we'll give you a bye on this one. :D
